Negotiating Religion in Modern China traces the history of the Chinese state''s relationship with religion from 1900 to 1937. The revolutionary regime condemned religious practice in the early twentieth century, suppressing 'superstitious' belief in favor of a secular, more enlightened society. Drawing on newspapers and unpublished official documents, this book focuses on the case of Guangzhou, largely because of the city''s sustained involvement in the revolutionary quest for a 'new' China. Shuk-wah Poon
Shuk-wah Poon is an assistant professor in history at Lingnan University, Hong Kong. She specializes in popular religions in early twentieth-century China. Professor Poon has a wide range of research interests and is currently devoting her time to the history of swimming and human-animal relations in modern China and colonial Hong Kong.

地震毀台南老家 王瞳、艾成婚事暫緩
最近正忙在籌備新專輯的「北七」樂團，為了展現優美體態，團員們密集上健身房健身，尤其是主唱艾成跟王瞳這對情侶，連健身都黏在一起。小倆口原本說好今年（2016年）過年安排雙方家長見面，沒想到王潼台南老家，卻因206大地震毀損，會面喊卡，婚事也因此暫緩。
北七樂團艾成：「心不再狂熱擁抱，你在我胸膛。」
「北七」樂團主唱艾成，一邊健身，一邊大聲練歌，旁邊的王瞳笑的甜蜜，小倆口還一起合唱《採紅菱》。
北七樂團艾成vs.王瞳：「得呀得郎有心，得呀得妹有意。」
小倆口打得火熱，連健身都黏在一起，兩人交往4年，感情穩定，到今年（2016年）過年時，原本安排雙方家長見面，不料卻遇上206大地震，讓計畫破局。
北七樂團王瞳：「至少讓家長吃個飯，坐下來聊聊天，因為他爸爸也是第一次，他在台灣15年，第一次來台灣，我爸媽又遇到台南大地震，我家又有點損壞，所以心情就不是很好。」
北七樂團艾成：「其實我們兩個人是有(結婚)共識的，(結婚地點)我有想去，有看到北海道的教堂很漂亮。」
連結婚的地點，都想好了，卻因地震婚事暫緩。但小倆口還有更重要的事，因為他們所屬的「北七」樂團，即將推出新專輯，接下來要飛到北京錄音和拍封面，所以團員集體上健身房雕塑身材，卻讓艾成累得想退團。
北七樂團艾成：「(團長大雄)因為他說我是前面的主唱，一定是要比較能見人，但是訓練的第一堂，我就回家跟他說，如果你要這樣訓練，我可能會想退團。」
嘴上開玩笑說想退團，但艾成靠著節食和運動，已經成功瘦了快10公斤，而團員們也都很努力，大雄身材變結實，身材高大的樂咖體能也有進步，而其中最瘦的何豪傑，已經練出一點胸肌，效果相當不錯。「北七」樂團正式展開宣傳時，到底會變成什麼模樣？相信粉絲也很期待。（民視新聞陳姵妡、莊沛文台北報導）
